Step 1: Prepare the pallet woods
You don’t have to buy the brand new pallets. You can save money by collecting the used ones.
Step 2: Burn the surfaces lightly.
This is a Japanese method to prevent those pallet woods from being molded or getting damaged by the weather.
Do this on both side of the pallets.
Clean the coal on pallets with a brush and water
Leave them there in a week or two.
This Japanese method helps to harden the pallets.
